Master Yuanhsing Chen has over 40 years of martial arts teaching experience. He has been an international Tai Chi Chu'an judge, has received numerous awards for outstanding performance, and recognized for dedicating his life to martial arts and propagation of the art.

Founder of Health Pai Da Qi Gong, Master Chen started teaching internal styles of Pai Da Qi Gong, Tai Chi Chu'an, Xing Yi Chu'an and Bagua Zhang after relocating to the United States from Taiwan in 2004. He now resides and teaches in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Master Chen is a senior disciple of Grandmaster Lu Hong Bin, a fourth generation Dung Hai Chu'an linage holder,

Early in life he received from his father, an herbal medicine student of classic Chinese medicine, many treasures of knowledge, of which one was his father’s classic out of print books on qigong.

Master Chen served in the Taiwanese military where he trained in the Korean martial art of tae kwon do and after his military service he continued to train every morning in Taipei Park pursuing the mastery of Da Sin Ch’uan.

He was introduced to the mysteries of tai chi chu'an  and began his studies under various masters. He eventually began to study under Grandmaster Lu Hong Bin.

Master Chen created a set of postures he called Pai Da Qi Gong which emphasizes strengthening the legs and relaxing the upper body, a system of exercise incorporating martial arts skills of yinjining, qigong, tai chi chu’an and bagua zhang.

Like yijinjing, it focuses on relaxing the body thus allowing the practioner to twist muscles and joints to their maximum. Pai Da Qi Gong helps build the foundation for bagua “stepping” and “one leg” power. Beginners focus on body relaxing, practicing short sessions, and then gradually move to more extensive and longer sessions.

Benefits include increasing mental clarity, energy, strength of blood circulation, increased relaxation. headache relief, better digestion, stronger eyesight, stress relief, increased energy, joint flexibility, and relief from asthma and respiratory ailments. Pai Da Qi Gong can be done in a few minutes and requires only a small practice space.
